SMS barrier fabric is a unique trilaminate construction that offers a high tensile strength and toughness that is also soft, drapable, and easy to work with.

You can purchase these coats in packs of 30, and they're available in all sizes. Like our other Sunlite Ultra® lab coats, these garments are made of SMS barrier fabric. The reason why this material is used to make lab coats is because it has a high tensile strength. It's also a material that is very tough but keeps workers comfortable. A number of other materials are relatively tough, but they sacrifice worker mobility and comfort, which can dramatically reduce productivity. If you're not comfortable at work, then it will be difficult to get anything accomplished. Since these lab coats are made of SMS material, they're breathable, soft and durable.
